São Carlos Institute of Chemistry – IQSC/USP

History

Created on April 12, 1994, as part of the University of São Paulo, São Carlos Institute of Chemistry (IQSC) is a Unit of Teaching and Research that provides undergraduation and graduation courses (today with 300 students each) through two divisions: Department of Chemistry and Molecular Physics, and Department of Physical Chemistry both with doctorate-degree Professors, most of whom have been research associates abroad.

Considered the best university of Latin America, the University of São Paulo has today more than 58,000 students enrolled in its 249 undergraduation courses, and more than 28,000 in its 239 graduation studies; 5,860 professors, and 17,000 administrative and technical employees throughout its campuses located in seven cities of the State of São Paulo.
